About Us
Justice Companion is a survivor‑led, AI‑supported service for people facing the legal system alone — during grief, crisis, intimidation, or injustice. We support those navigating bereavement, Inheritance Act exclusion, parental alienation, solicitor bullying, small claims, and the emotional shock of being a Litigant in Person.
Our founder survived sudden bereavement, probate injustice, solicitor intimidation, parental alienation cases, and a £6,000 small‑claims battle — all while grieving the loss of her fiancé and the future they planned.
When he died, she wasn’t just heartbroken — she was legally erased. Because they were not married and her name wasn’t on the deeds or mortgage, she had no legal right to stay in their home. She had to leave the life they built overnight, while grieving and fighting for basic recognition.
She learned the legal system because she had no choice. Now she uses that lived experience to guide others through the same maze.
Justice Companion provides:
-
Procedural guidance
-
Emotional grounding
-
Solicitor‑bullying protection
-
Evidence organisation
-
Small claims navigation
-
Parental alienation documentation
-
Bereavement legal navigation
-
Inheritance Act support
This is not legal advice. This is lived experience, procedural clarity, emotional stability, and practical navigation — delivered by someone who has actually survived it.
What Makes Us Different
1. We are survivor‑led
Justice Companion is built by someone who has lived through the system’s failures — not someone observing from the outside. We know the panic, the grief, the intimidation, and the loneliness because we have felt it.
No other service in the UK offers this combination of lived experience + procedural guidance.
2. We support the parts solicitors don’t touch
Solicitors provide legal advice. We provide everything else:
-
emotional grounding
-
crisis stabilisation
-
translation of legal jargon
-
protection from intimidation
-
evidence organisation
-
procedural navigation
-
practical steps
-
lived‑experience insight
We fill the gap between “no help” and “expensive legal help.”
3. We protect people from solicitor bullying
Most people don’t know solicitor intimidation is common — especially against Litigants in Person. We help clients recognise threats, misinformation, pressure tactics, and manipulative communication.
No other UK service specialises in this.
4. We support people excluded from estates
Unmarried partners are often erased from the legal process. We help people understand and navigate:
-
Inheritance Act claims
-
out‑of‑time applications
-
probate injustice
-
exclusion from estates
-
solicitor obstruction
This is a unique offering — no charity or legal support service provides this.
5. We help with the emotional shock of legal crisis
The legal system is terrifying when you’re grieving or alone. We stabilise clients so they can think clearly, respond safely, and avoid panic‑driven mistakes.
Solicitors don’t do this. Charities don’t do this. We do.
6. We offer affordable, ethical pricing
Our model is designed for people who cannot afford solicitors:
-
£29/hour support
-
15% contingency fee only if they win
-
no upfront costs
-
no hidden fees
-
no pressure
This is a fraction of solicitor costs.
7. We run a pay‑it‑forward justice fund
Every win helps the next person.
5% of contingency fees go into the Justice Access Fund, supporting:
-
court fees
-
emergency barrister consults
-
parental alienation documentation
-
bereavement navigation
-
small claims bundles
This creates a community of justice — not just a service.
8. We use AI to increase clarity and reduce overwhelm
AI helps us:
-
break down documents
-
organise evidence
-
structure timelines
-
translate legal jargon
-
prepare bundles
-
reduce panic
This makes support faster, clearer, and more accessible.
9. We are the only service that combines all of this
There is no other organisation in the UK that offers:
-
bereavement legal navigation
-
Inheritance Act support
-
solicitor‑bullying protection
-
parental alienation documentation
-
small claims navigation
-
emotional grounding
-
procedural clarity
-
pay‑it‑forward justice funding
-
survivor‑led insight
-
AI‑supported guidance
Justice Companion is unique.
